Step 1: Connect your website

Point JumpSites at the site you already own, see exactly what the scan reads, and correct every detail before anything is written.

Setup starts with the website you already have. JumpSites reads it once so that everything it writes afterwards uses your real business details rather than a template full of placeholders.

Enter your website address

Give JumpSites the address of your main website and tick the box confirming that you own it or are authorised to act for the business. That checkbox is the permission record for the scan, so it is not optional.

The scan is read-only. Nothing is written to your site, no files are changed, and no account or login is needed on your end.

What the scan reads

The scan is looking for the facts that make a site recognisably yours:

  • Page metadata — your site title and description.
  • Business details — name, address, phone number and hours.
  • Logo — so your growth site carries the same mark.
  • Brand colours — picked up from your existing styling.
  • Navigation — the main sections of your site, so links back to it land on the right pages.
  • Footer links — the supporting pages you already point people to.
  • Social profiles — any accounts you link from your site.
  • Testimonials — customer quotes already published on your site.
  • Services — the work you already describe yourself as doing.

What it does not do is republish your website. Your existing page copy is not copied onto the growth site; the scan extracts facts, and new pages are written from those facts.

Review what we found

The next screen shows everything the scan extracted, and tells you how many of the tracked details it managed to fill in. Every field is editable. Scans are good but they are not perfect — an out-of-date phone number on a contact page or a logo that is actually an award badge are exactly the sort of thing to fix here.

Correct anything wrong and fill in anything blank. These values are used for content generation from this point on, so a minute here saves an edit on every page later.

Set up your lead form

This screen is also where you turn on the contact form that appears at the foot of every article, and set the email address that receives its submissions. Leads funnel straight to that inbox — there is no separate dashboard you have to remember to check.

Use an address someone actually monitors. You can change it later from your dashboard.
